SAAS Conference 2026
The biannual SAAS conference titled “Myth, Migration and Mobility” will be held at the Swedish Emigrant Institute, Växjö, Sweden on October 8–9, 2026.
Looking forward to the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, the 13th biennial SAAS conference especially welcomes contributions on the aspirations, contradictions and myths connected to the United States project from its origins to the present. We hope that the conference’s location at the Swedish Emigrant Institute will also attract contributions that interrogate the migration and mobility inherent in the formation and development of the United States.
